Plantain Drawing Salve
Drawing salves have been used for generations as a topical preparation to help draw out and bring unwanted things toward the surface of the skin, making them especially popular for splinters, thorns, bites, stings, and minor skin irritations.
Our Plantain Drawing Salve combines wild-foraged plantain and yarrow, infused slowly into organic olive oil, with activated charcoal, local beeswax, lavender essential oil, and tea tree essential oil. Plantain and yarrow have a long history of traditional use for supporting and soothing the skin, while activated charcoal is traditionally included in drawing salves for its adsorptive properties.
Apply a small amount to the affected area and cover with a clean bandage if desired. Reapply as needed and allow the salve time to work. This is a wonderful little herbal first-aid staple to keep in your home, garden basket, or camping kit.
Ingredients: Wild-foraged plantain, wild-foraged yarrow, organic olive oil, beeswax, activated charcoal, lavender essential oil, tea tree essential oil.
For external use only. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use on deep or serious wounds. Patch test before use. If a wound is worsening, infected, or accompanied by significant swelling, redness, warmth, or fever, seek medical care.
